MCA COMPLETES PARTNERSHIP TO OFFER ONLINE SEMINAR
The Maine Chiropractic Association is proud to announce that they have completed a partnership with OnlineContinuingEd.com to offer Continuing Education Courses Online to Maine Chiropractors.
The MCA is one of the first Chiropractic Associations in the country to offer online continuing education courses to its members.
The University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic (UBCC), the industry leader in providing Online Continuing Education Courses, will sponsor the program. UBCC has been providing online continuing education courses since early 2001.
Chiropractors are faced with a number of obstacles like distance, time and costs when trying to obtain state mandated continuing education credits. It presents a quandary for those who are truly interested in furthering their education and providing the highest quality care for their patients, said Richard Saporito, DC, Director of Post Graduate and Continuing Education at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Online Continuing Education not only eliminates those worries, it enhances and improves the quality and retention of the continuing education materials by letting the individual chiropractor choose topics and subject matter that is of the most interest to them.
Maine Chiropractors will be able to access the courses through a link on the MCA website at www.mainechiro.org and have access to a variety of topics and courses. The courses will use a variety of formats, including text lectures and slide presentations, as well as offering as much normal and pathological images as is appropriate to the subject matter. There will also be the opportunity to perform online dissections using state of the art technology.
Other features of the program include immediate access to certificates of completion upon finishing each course, the capability to interact with the instructors by email thereby allowing dialogue for even more learning, and the ability to view other doctors’ questions and the instructors’ answers on the subject matter being learned.
Chiropractors can now join almost every other healthcare profession in obtaining Online Continuing Education towards their state mandated requirements. The MCA has responded to their members needs by forming this partnership.
